Left to mourn is his mom, Monica Forbes, sister, Danielle (Lee), his special niece Grace, daughters, Brandi and Morgan and sons Matthieu and Ares. As well as uncle Albert (Rita), PEI, cousins Darren (Jenny) in Regina Sask., Todd (Michelle) Meadow Lake Sask., Aunt Barbra (Freddy) Echiverri, Port Moody BC, and a large extended family. He is especially going to be missed by his best buddy Joe Camus.
Ian was predeceased by his paternal grandparents Albina and Lloyd, maternal grandparents Urma and Otto Thoma, father Ralph, aunt Ursula Thoma and uncle Micheal Thoma.
Anyone that knew Ian knows how big of a heart he had, greeting everyone with that big smile. In his younger years you could find him hanging around the woods building tree houses, playing in the pool, four wheeling, cracking jokes, always getting into something dirty or creepy crawly and just enjoying life. What changed was when his pride and joys started making their arrivals starting with Brandi, followed by Morgan, Matthew and Ares. Ian loved these children beyond measures. He was always taking Ares and Grace on adventures all over. Grace is going to miss her uncle beyond measures. Ian's last number of years have been spent as a stay at home parent and when he wasn’t with Ares and Grace, you could find him helping out around the house or running errands for mom, chances are you'd find him fishing, camping, hanging out with friends, or being a shoulder to lean on for anyone in need. Fly high and Rest in peace my brother you're missed beyond measures.
