I too remember the summers the three nuns, my Grandma's sisters, would come visit.  They spent endless hours knitting me clothes for my dolls and playing tea party.  I would always look forward to their visits!

I wrote Sister Elizabeth almost every year.  Three years ago, I wrote her to tell her that I had my first daughter, whom we named Emma Elizabeth after her.

Sister Tapper was a lovely lady. I remember her well when she was one of the sisters at St. Michael's in Baddeck. She was always so kind. Condolences on the loss of a lovely person.

A memory our family will never forget was the time we packed up the truck towing the camper and headed off for our summer vacation.  We stopped in the community of Baddeck, Nova Scotia to be greeted by our aunt Sister Elizabeth. She was so happy to see us and showed us around her accommodations and treated us to a very nice meal. We stayed for the day chatting and site seeing.  As we were leaving we were all waiving goodbye and Sister Elizabeth was out in the driveway waiving as we drove off.  It was such a wonderful visit.  Rest easy Sister Elizabeth.  You will be missed.

My earliest childhood memories include the summer times when our three aunts came to visit. As kids we referred to those times with the phrase" the nuns are coming home".
Our friends and neighbours always found it unusual but for us it was not only normal, but wonderful too. We waited anxiously for them to arrive, dressed in their usual attire and filling our house with stories, knitting and daily prayer rituals.
Sr. Elizabeth was the last survivor of the three. As a young child I looked at her curiously as someone very devoted to her calling but as an adult I got to know her on a more personal level. She became more than my aunt, but also a trusted friend and confiadant. She was truly interested in every aspect of my life ,always taking time to keep up on where my travels took me and what was new with my family. She has made a positive impact on my life and I feel privileged to have been a part of hers.Goodbye Sr. Elizabeth, you will remain forever in my heart.

The family of Raymond Tapper are saddened to learn of the loss of Raymond's beloved sister and the family's cherished aunt.  Sister Elizabeth spent many summer vacations at the Tapper family home in Torbay, Newfoundland, the same home that she grew up in.  The family will hold dear the many fond memories of those summers together.  Sister Elizabeth was loved and cherished by the entire Tapper family and she will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

I am deeply saddened to hear of the death of Sister Elizabeth Tapper.  I have known her for many years as she was my teacher at St. Augustine's School.  She was a good friend and I always enjoyed visiting her when I came to Sydney.   She will be fondly remembered in my Prayers and Masses.
