It is with broken hearts that we regretfully announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, mother-in-law, great grandmother and friend Elizabeth “Beth” (MacQueen) Scott at her home, surrounded by the love of her family on August 11, 2022 at 103 years of age. Born and raised in Cranberry to the late Donald John and Mae (Brown) MacQueen on May 28, 1919. She was loved dearly by all who knew her. She was devoted to her family and was a devout member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. As a young women she sang in the church choir and later belonged to the WMS & AMS.
She is survived by her loving daughter Donna Elizabeth MacMullin (Kevin), grandsons Scott (Kim) and Cale (Kim) MacMullin and Aaron (Dianna) and Steven Scott, great grandsons Kevin MacMullin, Kenzie MacMullin and Anderson Scott, great granddaughters Ivey MacMullin and Vada Scott as well as daughter-in-law Georgie Scott, sister Lois Caldwell (Ottawa) and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents Beth was predeceased by her husband Andrew, son Norman, sisters Marnie MacDonald, Katherine Ritchie and brothers Norman and James MacQueen and Charles Brown.
A Funeral service will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, August 16 at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Sydney Mines with Rev. Ritchie Robinson officiating. Masks are required for the service.
