William "Bill" C. Starck

Bill was raised in Riverside, RI by his parents Albert & Marielee Starck. He was the husband of June D. Starck to whom he was married for 43 years.

He leaves behind his children, Brandt H. Starck of Providence, RI, Sarah E. Starck of Miranda, CA, Jeffrey A. Kern and his wife Melissa Kern of Swansea, MA, and Stephen B. Kern and his wife Kerri Kern of Swansea, MA. Along with nine grandchildren, Jackie Kern, Alyson Kern, Nicholas Martin, Jacob Martin, Caitlyn Martin, Lauren Kern, Erin Kern, Gardner Boyce, and Zachary Kern. As well as his brother Albert Starck of Fredericksburg, VA and his wife Rhonda Starck. He was predeceased by his younger brother Leon G. Starck.

Bill was a prominent architect in Fall River for over 40 years with his wife at his side, managing the business side of the firm, which was ultimately sold to key employees who continue to run the firm to this day. Bill was a graduate of East Providence High School, Wentworth Institute of Technology, and the Rhode Island School of Design. He held degrees in both Engineering and Architecture. While attending RISD, Bill started and coached the Barrington, RI YMCA Swim Team for the boys and girls.

Bill enjoyed traveling with his wife, June, and their friends. He loved being on the ocean and taking trips on his sailboat. He was an intelligent and stubborn, yet kind-hearted, man who loved his family and friends that miss him dearly.

His Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at 11:00 AM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Road, Swansea. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Monday from 4:00 – 7:00 PM. For directions and tributes, please visit www.waring-sullivan.com.
