Lisa M. Leonardo

Born in Pawtucket, RI, she was the daughter of Beryl (Handy) and the late John Brett.

Lisa was a graduate of Dighton Rehoboth High School. An avid reader, she also enjoyed gardening and was a wonderful cook. Full of life and known to take care of everyone, Lisa adored her family, especially her grandchildren. Truly the best of the best, she will be remembered fondly by all who loved her.

Besides her husband and mother, Lisa is survived by three children, Jessica Thompson and her husband Michael of Swansea, Brendan Alexander of Pawtucket, RI, and Wayne Alexander, Jr. and his wife Sara of Swansea; two step-daughters, Donnalee Leonardo of Nahant and Laurie Gleason and her husband Kevin of Dighton; six grandchildren, Gwen Thompson, Josie Alexander, John Alexander, Andrew Thompson, Evan Gleason, and Colin Gleason; two siblings, David Brett and his wife Cynthia of Warwick, RI, and Shanon Wortham and her husband Bill of Attleboro, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Her Funeral will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at 8:30 AM from the Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea, followed by a Service at 10:00 AM in Rehoboth Congregational Church, 139 Bay State Rd., Rehoboth. Relatives and friends are invited. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Burial will be private.
