Born in Fall River, a daughter of Joseph and Jayne (Talbot) Tavares of Swansea, she had been a lifelong area resident.
A graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, class of 1990, she received her associate’s degree as a medical technician from the New England Institute of Technology. She worked as a L.P.N. in the area for many years.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by three daughters; Melanie Moniz of Westport, Lyndsey Pacheco of Fall River, Laurel Pacheco of Swansea, two brothers; Joseph Tavares of York, PA, Richard Tavares of Swansea, three sisters; Kimberly Fitzgerald, Stephanie Tavares and Heather Tavares all of Fall River and several nieces and nephews.
Her Visitation will be held on Friday, March 24, 2017 from 5:00 to 8:00PM in the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea. Relatives and friends invited. Burial private.
