Emma E. (Brooks) Jowers, age 97, of Swansea, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2017 in the Kimwell Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Frank A. Jowers.
Born in Fairhaven, she was the daughter of the late Reverend Frederick and Esther (Fell) Brooks. She worked as a Bookkeeper for Yeamen and Sons before retiring in 1982. She was a member of the Senior Center in Ocean Grove and treasurer for the Swansea Senior Citizens.
She is survived by one daughter Geraldine “Geri” Bruneau of Raynham, four grandsons, ten great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Barbara Grehoski.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at 11:00AM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Monday from 3:00 to 6:00PM. Contributions in her honor may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, 788 Liberty St., Braintree, MA 02184. Burial in Oak Grove Cemetery, Fall River.
