Colleen (O’Brien) O’Brien-Lemelin “Red” “Peanuts”, age 63, of Somerset passed away Saturday, December 7, 2024, in Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Scott G. Lemelin to whom she has been married for the past 20 years.
Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Joseph B. and Muriel Valeda (Harrison) O’Brien, she was a lifelong resident of Somerset.
A graduate of Somerset High School, Class of 1978, she worked for her family business OB’s Woodcrafts for many years running the office and most recently for the Town of Swansea.
Colleen was truly the life of the party, always bringing joy and laughter wherever she went. She had a love for music and dancing that was contagious, and her spirit was matched only by her deep affection for her family, whom she cherished beyond words.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Caitlin Kosinski and her fiancé Chris Ellis of Somerset; one son, Zane Kosinski and his fiancé Brooke Covel of North Dighton; two stepdaughters, Shannon Lemelin and her fiancé Ryan Benson of Warren and Mary Lemelin and her boyfriend Steve Capuano; one stepson, Justin Lemelin of Somerset, one brother, Michael O’Brien and his wife Lynn of Hebron NH; four grandchildren, Connor McLeod, Harper and Lainey Kosinski, Liam Ellis and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Timothy and Kevin O’Brien.
Her visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Rd. Swansea. Relatives and friends invited. Burial to follow in Mount Hope Cemetery, Swansea.
