Born in Waukesha, Wisconsin, a son of the late Clarence and Dorothy (Lawless) Brock, he lived in Wisconsin before moving to Swansea over 45 years ago.
A graduate White Water High School, he also received his Bachelors of Science Degree in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin in White Water. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and served during the Vietnam War.
Mr. Brock worked as a Chemist at American Insulated Wire in Pawtucket for many years before retiring.
A giving man, he was mechanically inclined and was known to fix any vehicle, TV or appliance that was in the need of a repair and would donate it to anyone who was in need of that particular item.
He was a member of the V.F.W. and the American Legion both in Swansea and belonged to the Dartmouth Seniors Centers Widowers Group in which he enjoyed tremendously.
He is survived by two sons: Christopher Brock and his wife Sandra of Taylors, SC, Keith Brock of Swansea, one daughter: Kara Brock of Los Angeles, CA, three grandchildren: Brittany Brock, Indigo Colon, and Malia Colon, one great grandson (Marco) and many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Gregory P. Brock and the brother of the late Ronald Brock and Laurie Ellsworth.
His Memorial Service will be held Friday, March 13, 2015 at 11:30AM in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at BIRCHCREST, 189 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea. Visiting hours will be prior to his service from 10:30 to 11:30AM. Contributions in his honor may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, 425 North Vaughan Ave., Seguin, TX 78155. Burial will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery at Bourne at 1:45PM.
