Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Ferreira) Perry.
A former Sewing Machine Operator, she worked over 30 years in the Curtain industry. Her career transferred over to her everyday life, as she loved to sew as a hobby. Barbara also enjoyed singing, dancing and drawing.
She is survived by two children, Kimberly Viveiros and her husband George of Swansea and her son Norman Fontaine of Fall River; six grandchildren, Nicholas, Nathan and Joshua Viveiros and Abigail, Alyssa and Alexis Fontaine; one step-granddaughter Kyle Viveiros. She was the grandmother of the late Jacob Viveiros and the sister of the late Jacqueline Fernandes.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 23, at 11:00AM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, 189 Gardner’s Neck Rd., Swansea. Visitation will be held prior from 9:00-11:00AM. Relatives and friends are invited. The burial will be private. Contributions in her honor may be made to the Dementia Society of America, P.O. Box 600, Doylestown, PA 18901.
