Nancy and I were next door neighbours back in 1977.  Our families were young and our boys Graham and Travis became best friends.  We spent our days together minding our kids, bowling once a week and babysitting for each other.  It was a carefree wonderful time and I have many memories.  Nancy was known to set the toaster on fire so she could call the good looking firemen.  We spent many a morning on her deck drinking tea or afternoons with wine while the kids played around us.  We had clothing parties, wicker parties, birthday parties, our days and nights were full of fun.  Nancy and I also served on the local community center board together....a night out of the house for us both.  I regret we did not stay in touch very often after we moved away and I believe if email had been available then it would have made a difference to our ability to stay connected. Nevertheless Nancy was always delighted to see us if we presented ourselves at her door and it would  be as if it were yesterday.  She had a great heart and a welcoming smile, and has gone too soon.  RIP sweet Nancy. ....Muriel Dowle and family.

Nancy was my first best friend.  When you are 4 years old, the days seem to last forever, and there was no one better to spend an endless day with than sweet Nancy.

My thoughts are with your family at this time. It has been so many years since I have seen Nancy & you all but I have so many fond memories of how great of a friend she was to my mom Linda and what a wonderful mom Nancy was when I was playing with Graham, Adrienne & Susan when I was just a little girl living down the street on Parksville Drive.

We are so sad for all of Nancy's loved ones.  She was such a source of inspiration and we will always think of her gorgeous smile radiating her presence.
