Jean Vivian Fielden

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our wonderful Mother, Jean Vivian Fielden, on January 29, 2020 in Burnaby, B.C. Born in Victoria on September 4, 1917 to Margaret and Norman Martin. Jean is predeceased by her sister Nora Dickson, husband Russell Fielden on March 24, 1991 and her son Wayne Fielden (Susan) on November 7, 2001.

Mom leaves behind her sons Martin (Morag, Irene), Ron (Dawn), Gordon (Debbie), Darryll (Shirley), and daughter Julie. Mom also leaves grandchildren Tammy (Joel), Sarah, Ian (Stephanie), Kate, Andrew, Chelsea, Rachael, Shawn, Brooke and many nephews, nieces and great grandchildren.

Mom and Dad lived in Victoria, B.C. and were married for 62 years. After the passing of our Dad, Mom lived independently and travelled with family friend Linda Kennedy to Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand. She also travelled between Victoria and Northern British Colombia to visit her daughter Julie. She also lived with Gordon and Debbie for a number of years.

In May, 2017 Mom shattered her pelvic bone. With her families help and sheer determination she made a full recovery. Mom celebrated her 102th. birthday with a party at Newlands Golf and Country Club. It was the last happy family gathering we had with her.

The family, along with friends, will have a Celebration of Life at First Memorial Funeral Services at 1:30 pm on February 22, 2020, located at 14835 Fraser Highway Surrey, B.C.
