Jim McMaster on November 1, 2021. Jim was in his 98th year and
resided in West Vancouver.
Jim will be greatly missed by daughter Stacey, Grandsons Dylan (Eunmi), Jordan (Rie), Travis (Jen) and
great-granddaughters Mei and Lyla. Jim will also be remembered by many friends including Harold Redmond, his best friend since 1935.
Jim is predeceased by his wife Berna who was his childhood sweetheart. They married in 1943 and were together until Berna passed in 2013.
Jim was born in Anyox BC and moved to Vancouver in 1935. He grew up in Kerrisdale and attended Magee High. Jim served three years as a pilot in the RCAF. Jim joined Chevron in 1945 and retired from the position of Vice President, Finance in April 1984.
Jim was enthusiastic about sports including squash, football, basketball, tennis and pickleball. Jim was an avid pickleball player and enjoyed playing into his 94th year. Jim and Berna enjoyed traveling and went on many cruises and road trip vacations in Palm Desert.
Jim was truly a charismatic gentleman who left a impression on many with his intelligent insights and precious sense of humour. His commitment to family and friends was a measure of his loyal kind nature. His enthusiasm and zest for life were infectious. Jim was a caring man and a excellent communicator who
brought out the best in people. He was a exceptional husband, father, grandfather, grandpapa and friend.
Our family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Dr. Barre, the nurses and team members at Amica Lions Gate for their compassionate care and kindness . A very special thank you to Trish who was our angel during difficult times.

Jim was a fine man who will live on in our hearts and be greatly missed; forever
cherished and remembered.
