Taken too soon, he will forever be cherished in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 51 years, Gloria Goudy and two beautiful daughters Denise and Lesley. His four grandchildren, Mikayla, Kane, Isabelle and Harrison were the light of his retired life and they will miss their Papa dearly.
Ed grew up in Richmond, BC, with his three sisters Victoria, Judy and Susan. He was predeceased by his parents Edward Theodore Goudy and Elizabeth Primrose Goudy.
His passion for fishing and boating started in his childhood which he continued to love throughout his life. Ed was a talented baseball player in younger days, almost making it to the big leagues. In later years, Ed was an avid nature photographer and entrepreneur. Ed will be remembered for his generosity and wisdom.
Ed took great pride in his long career in the maritime industry. He started with the Canadian Coast Guard in Prince Rupert, while in Prince Rupert joined Rivtow and became a Captain on the tugs. Ed went on to become a BC Coast Pilot. He was a celebrated Captain for 36 years. He loved being on the water and was a natural in a very demanding position.
