Ariis Diane Knight

Ariis Knight, a resident of Semiahmoo house in Surrey BC. Born April 3 1980, passed away at the age of 40 at Peace Arch Hospital on April 18, 2020. Ariis was well loved and known for her infectious smile and amazing laugh. Ariis is preceded by her mother, Barbara, and is survived by her younger brother David and wife Maria, nephew David Jr. and niece Sarah. Father, David and step mother Angela, and brothers Matthew and Daniel.

A special thank you to the staff at Semiahmoo House, who took such amazing care of Ariis and enriched her life. And to those that have crossed paths with Ariis, thank you for the role that you had in her life. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Semiahmoo House Society.

During this time of Covid, a celebration of life will be some time in the future, when restrictions are lifted.


Dear Ariis, 

I will remember your infectious smile and kind heart.

 I am so sad to learn you have passed and I will continue to share your story in efforts to advocate for better.

Ariis you are a shining star and your laugh and smile would brighten up anyones day! You are a beautiful soul and I enjoyed spending my last 3 years in high school getting to know you and become close personal friends with you! I remember how we used to get together in the summer and enjoy laughs and joy as we took walks around Ladner! No matter where we went or who we stopped to talked to your laugh and smile were incredibly infectious! Your a beautiful angel! May your soul rest in peace and you watch over us! 

I remember how happy you always were and how you always had a smile on  your face.  I send my deepest condolences to your family at this time. May your star always shine bright, beautiful girl. 

Ariis, I remember meeting you in high school and how your smile and laugh always lit up the room. We spent 2 years getting to know each other. Remember Pat and how silly she was?! I’m sorry you had to leave this world the way you did. I’m hoping some progress is made in this area so no one else has to endure what you did. Xo 💕

Sadness has filled my heart for the family of  beautiful Ariis .  I delivered medication to the group home where she lived and have many great memories of seeing her captivating smile.  One moment sticks out as I spoke and said something that made her laugh loudly, it was a fun and precious moment . Thank you Ariis for all the beautiful smiles.    Forever in my heart.
