Sandee moved in next door to me and we became good friends. We would sit in the backyard, sip wine from these handmade wine glasses Sandee got for me.  Sandee helped me set up a surprise 13th birthday party for my daughter and she shared several stories from her Coast Guard ventures here in the Seattle area. I was sad when she moved to Alaska, but we kept in touch (not as much as I would have liked).  She told me of her move to Surprise AZ and her retirement and got my wheels turning where I was looking for homes in AZ with the hopes of rekindling our friendship.  Sadly when I saw she was ill, it broke my heart.  But I honestly believed that with her kind soul and generous nature she would beat this illness.  My dear sweet friend, I am praying you are happy where you are and you rest in peace.  God has a special angel with him now.  The smiles and memories we shared will never be forgotten.  Love you bunches!!

I first met Sandee at an East Coast USCG TT Reunion being held in the Outer Banks, NC. We shared our love of reading. The next week I received a whole box of books that she sent to me! Years later, we were on an Alaskan cruise. Sandee and Dave met us at the dock in Juenau  loaded down with coats, gloves and scarves to keep us warm. That is just how Sandee was... thinking of others and going out of her way to do things for them--generous and loving. Ray and I are blessed to have known her and to call her friend.

She will always be my ginger sister. How can I pick just one memory? Every IT/TT Reunion was memorable for one reason or another. She was sure a fighter in life and lived life to the fullest. I will miss her so much. 

So very sorry. Sandee was such an awesome friend. She will be missed.
