Ernestine "Ernie" Kanipe

Ernestine “Ernie” Kanipe, 84, of Goodyear, Arizona, passed away on December 3, 2012. Ernie was known for having a big heart and being the “bright light” in the room. She was fun-loving, kind and loved to tease people! Most of all, she loved to cook and spend time playing with her great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all those who loved her. Ernie was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, T.J. Kanipe, whom she met in college at BYU in Provo, Utah, parents, Dominic and Mary Paloni and brother, John Paloni. She is survived by her daughter, Tammy (Dan) Colfack, grandchildren, Amy Comer, Todd (Melissa) Comer, Christopher (Janet) Comer and Victoria (John) Mortimer, great grandchildren, Cierra West, T.J. Comer, Ethan Comer and Lucy Comer, brother, Donnie Paloni and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2012, at 1:00 P.M. with Funeral Services at 2:00 P.M. at Surprise Funeral Care, 16063 W. Bell Rd., Surprise, AZ 85374. Interment will take place at a later date at Lake View Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights, Illinois.
