Robert J. McIntire, 86, went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at his home. Robert was born on October 6, 1928 in Crystal Falls, Michigan. He served in the U.S. Army from 1946-1948. Robert and Shirley were longtime residences of Bloomington and were members of the Bloomington Baptist Church for 35 years. They have lived in Sun City, AZ for the past 15 years.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Fayette E. and Marcella A. McIntire. He is survived by his wife, Shirley (Watson) McIntire; brother, David (Leilla); nephews, Ken (Melissa) McIntire, Keith (Lisa) McIntire and niece, Karen (Darren) Miller and their families. He is also survived by many cousins and their families.
Robert will be laid to rest, alongside his relatives, in Acacia Park Cemetery in Mendota Heights, MN. A memorial service will be held at The Heritage Regency in Sun City at a later date.
Arrangements are being handled by Sunland Memorial Park Mortuary in Sun City AZ and Washburn-McReavy in Bloomington, Minnesota.
