I really miss my friend of 68 years.  She was always so uplifting to be around happy and always glad to be with her friends.  The card group misses her happy presence.  Sharon Shafer

I am truly going to miss my Aunt Margie. She was always so sweet.  I do remember that when she wasn't happy about all the cousins were doing she would always put her hands on her hips with a really straight face. You definitely knew to stop what you were doing.

I regret not being there to tell the story myself as I wanted to.
Margie was as bright as a Sunflower, as gentle as an evening breeze, with the kind way of telling one the Truth, whenever you needed telling.  And, was a good sport, with a good sense of humor which brings me to the story
At Coral Pink Sands in Utah, early in the morning in our sand rails and jeeps, we left the campground on a trial run - engines and paddle tires in motion.
We spent the morning crossing creeks, brush and rockslides, having a fun time.
By noon we were all ready for lunch, we started back to the campground.
Mike found a road and we led the pack. Ahead of us we saw a herd of cattle crossing the road ahead. They stopped to graze on the field by the road. There was a slight mist on the road as we approached.
When we crossed the "mist" we heard a lot of yelling behind us. We stopped, thinking someone was in trouble.
Margie and Dale were in the rail behind us. Mike and I ran back to see what the matter was.
When I saw the problem, I couldn't help myself. I began to laugh.
There, dripping from Margie's beautiful blond hair, were strings of hot "COW PIE" that our paddle tires had thrown back on the caravan.
I offered Margie a tissue and told her that she needed to wipe her hair and eyebrow. Dale was dripping too and was furious
Margie started to laugh too.
Then there was a race to get to the campground first to hit the showers.
     Margie was a lot of fun to be with and such a good sport.
      I will never forget that day or Margie.
       She was my friend and my Sister-in-Law.
        I will miss her more that My Heart can say

Margie has been my friend since I was 14 years old and landed in Phoenix.  She was my friend at South Mountain High School in 1955.  We remained friends all these years.  She was a true friend.  We didn't see each other all the time but always kept track of each other. 
 The last 4 years were special because she invited me to her card group, and I was able to be with her 2 times a week.    She had no limit to her kindness.  I will miss my friend.  Sharon Shafer

I'm  so sorry for your loss. Your mom looks like a wonderful, beautiful, sweet, woman. No wonder you turned out to be a wonderful woman yourself. 

May your mom be in eternal peace, and reunited with your brother, Benny, and other loved ones.

Stacy, Leslie, Jennifer, John and whole family,
I have such fond memories of Margie - mainly camping at the dunes. Always a smile on her face, a huge hug, and positive energy.  
I know she will be dearly missed and  I hope you are able to find peace in her memory. 
I am unable to attend the service as we have the last golf tournament for Gary that day. But you will all be in my thoughts.

Grandma Margie was one of the most important people in my life. I looked forward to her coming to Wisconsin every summer and loved getting to spend time with her.  We did so many things together like fishing, boating, swimming, arts and crafts, and she always let me pick the restaurant I wanted to go to. One of my favorite memories of Grandma Margie is when she took me to Washington Island. She took me on my very first ferry and I'm so glad to have shared that with her. Once we got there we took a train to the beach with stones instead of sand. Then we got chocolate and a hat. Then she took me to explore an old church and we had so much fun. I really miss her, and wish the best for her in the after life. She was already an angel here on Earth.
