Peggy was born in Newburgh, New York on October 17, 1923 to her parents Margaret and Charles Ostrander.
Peggy was married to her loving husband, William Ruff, for 65 years before he passed away on January 28, 2009.
Peggy spent her working years in payroll management and was a faithful servant and member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church.
She is survived by and greatly missed by her daughter Kathy Schrody, son William "Bill" (Lisa) Ruff, grandchildren Breanna, Liz, Tracie, Michele, Leslie and Mike, 13 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren, her sister Jeanne Palermo, and several nieces and nephews.
Peggy is preceded in death by her husband William, son Walter "Buddy" Ruff, daughter Eileen Morales, grandson Jeff, sister Ida May, brothers Jackson, Alson and Charles, and her son-in-law Daniel "Danny" Schrody.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Prince of Peace Catholic Parish on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 10:00am followed by a graveside service at Sunland Memorial Park.
