Gloria Jean Baxter

Gloria Jean Baxter, aged 93, passed away on October 8, 2024, in Phoenix, AZ. Born on August 26, 1931 in East Liverpool, OH. Gloria was a cherished member of her community and a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Gloria devoted her life to her family and her passions. She is survived by her children, Mike and Carol Baxter, Debra Diede, Kimberly and Elmer Landreth; her grandchildren, Joni and Billy Ledford, Jacqueline and Nick Sitzler, Andrew Baxter, Matthew Baxter, Tiffany Landreth, Adam and Allie Landreth; and her great-grandchildren, Mikayla Sitzler, Kayden Sitzler, Lemon Sitzler, and Myla Landreth. Gloria's life was enriched by the deep connections she made with her family, who will remember her as a guiding light in their lives.

Before her passing, Gloria was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ernest William Baxter and her parents, Nellie and Evert Brown.

Gloria's interests were diverse and brought joy to not only her but also to those around her. An avid painter and pianist, she found beauty and peace in her artistic pursuits. Her love for gardening filled her surroundings with beauty, and her dedication to her church community reflected her faith and commitment to service.

A memorial service celebrating Gloria's life will be held at Desert Christian Fellowship at a future date.
