Arthur "Art" William Schroeder, age 95, of Peoria, Arizona passed away on Monday evening at 11:10PM, July 15, 2024. Funeral Arrangements & Cremation has been arranged with Sunland Mortuary (Dignity Memorial) in Sun City, AZ. A Celebration of Life is planned with son Steve, granddaughter Jennifer and close friends. Art's favorite piano works will be presented in his memory by his loving wife, Rosemary, in future concerts and programs.
Hospice was most helpful to us the past few months, assuring art the utmost comfort providing all his personal and medical needs 24/7 in our assisted living apartment in the Montecito Senior Living in Peoria, Arizona. The on-going daily care, compassion and understanding of the facility staff has been much cherished and appreciated. Residents here are most understanding, loving and caring as well, a very helpful circumstance for me and when family and friends visit... as they understand well from their own experience regarding the loss of their loved ones.
Our son, Steve's, availability and being able to situate himself just a couple of miles from us to visit, assist or call daily has been a God gift to us. Art had just turned 95 last April and our wedding anniversary was July 16, 1955...69 wonderful years of marriage and of joyous activities and events with family, friends and work partners. Art was the best family man one could have in life, as everything he did was done for us with care, love and in a quiet loving unselfish determination that we, his family, were always the recipient of caring, safety and goodness in all things. We were lucky.
Art is preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Elfrieda as well as his beloved son, Dr. Robert Schroeder who passed away on July 7, 2021 from covid. Art is survived and missed dearly by his wife, Rosemary, son Steve Schroeder, granddaughters, Jennifer and Julia Schroeder, grandson, Jonathan Schroeder, and daughter-in-law, Debra Schroeder (wife of Robert Schroeder).
Much love always to all of you special people who have always been kind, helpful, caring and with whom we shared so many good times.
Much peace always,
Rosemary Schroeder
