Yvonne Audrey Istre

Services for Yvonne Audrey Istre, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 1, 2017, at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Chapel. She went to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 29, 2017 at age 86. A native of Rayne, LA and resident of Dequincy, LA, she enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting, cooking, and dancing to French music.

Visitation will be held at 8:30 am until time of service with a rosary at 10:00. Burial will follow in Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss.

Survivors include her children, Audrey Istre of Westlake, Evelyn Jacobs of Lake Charles, and Christina Kendrick of Baton Rouge; four siblings, Donald Richard, Dudley Richard, Hazel Patin, and Lucien Richard, Jr; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Dalton Adam Istre; her parents, Lucien and Alicia Richard; and five siblings, Ed Richard, Eldridge Richard, Wilton Richard, Teresa Thibodeaux, and Helen Brown.
