Sharon Gail Denton

She was a lifelong resident of Carlyss, LA. Sharon was a graduate of Sulphur High School. She spent her life alongside her husband, Doggie, in various business ventures. She enjoyed nature walks, her time in the Lilly Club and loved her prayer meetings at Shepherds Rest but most of all spending time with her family.

Those left to cherish her memory are her best friend and life partner for over 61 years, Norman "Doggie" Denton of Carlyss; her daughter, Darla Schexnayder (Melvin) of Moss Bluff; her son, Myron Denton (Dena) of Albany, TX; the ones that called her "Nana", Dwight Hazell (Josephine), Carolyn Daily (John), Denton Hazell (Christina), Myann Denton, Mathieu Denton, Mason Denton, Addie Beth Denton; her great-grandchildren, DJ, Adeline, and Tucker.

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, Newton & Mabel LeDoux; her infant twin daughters, Latisha & Talisha Denton; her brothers, Buddy & Ray LeDoux.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2021 from 5-8 PM and will resume Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2021 from 10 AM until 1 PM. A Celebration of Life led by Celebrant Jody Tyler Barrilleaux will be held at 1 PM. Interment will follow in Mimosa Pines South Cemetery in Carlyss under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home.
