He was raised in Port Arthur, Texas and had been a resident of Sulphur for 56 years. He was a member of Houston River Baptist Church and the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 106. Norman enjoyed exercising at the recreation center and helping with Vacation Bible School.
Survivors include his children, Norman Farr and Blake Farr, both of Sulphur, and Deborah Farr Jones of Slidell; step-children, Catherine Heddings of Sulphur, Angela Quienalty of Lake Charles, and Wanda Lee McClelland of Houston, Texas; twelve grandchildren; and twenty-three great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Effie Farr; and a sister, Bobbie Lewis.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday, June 16, in Houston River Baptist Church. The Rev. Lonnie Gothrup will officiate. Burial will be in Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly.
