Mabel Taylor, 99, died at 10:40 a.m. Monday, February 6, 2012, in her home.
Mabel was a Sulphur native who attended Our Lady of Lasallette Catholic Church. She was a member of Young at Heart. Mabel loved spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include her daughter Gerry Reeves of Sulphur; grandchildren Annette Riley and her husband Ed, and Jeffrey Reeves and his wife Darla; 3 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband M.A. "Jeannerette" Taylor; parents, Felix and Olivia Malapart; grandson Tony Reeves; and four sisters, Mercy Busby, Yolande Doucet, Rita Prejean and Birdie Jinks.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday, February 10, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial. Deacon Johnny Mounce will officiate. burial will be in Mimosa Pines South in Carlyss. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-9 p.m. with a rosary at 6 p.m., and Friday from 8-10 a.m.
