

Kenneth was an Army Veteran who served in the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War. He also was a member of the American Legion Post 179 and VFW. He started as a Pipefitter in Local 106 until 1985, before going to work Oxy Chem as a supervisor until 1993. He then retired and enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and shrimping with his family. Kenneth loved to play bingo every week at several places. Pops also known as "Nank Peck" loved his Cajun heritage. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his wife, Luella Conner Chaisson; his children, Curtis Wayne Chaisson, Jennifer Chaisson Guillory, Christopher Chaisson, and Brenda, and Kenneth Wayne Chaisson, Jr. and wife, Theresa; his step-children, Liz Conner Daigle, Tammy Conner Foster and James "J.J." Conner, Jr. and wife, Tina; a sister, DeeDee Isaac; a brother, Curtis "C.J." Chaisson, Jr.; grandchildren, Kristi Smith, Chasity Vice, Kelli Bordelon, Matthew Chaisson, Laken Chaisson, Lauren Brattain, Rabeka Chaisson, Courtney Chaisson, Kenneth W. "Trey" Chaisson III and Dalton Chaisson; step-grandchildren, Justin Foster, Rachel Gary, Deidre Alford, Danielle Daigle, Kaitlyn Conner and Adam Conner; 24 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kay Lynn Nassar Chaisson, parents, Curtis Chaisson, Sr. and Mary Mae Pago Chaisson; siblings, Randall Chaisson, Sr., Ivy Chaisson and Barbara Vincent; son-in-law, James Guillory II and a great grandson, Samuel Foster.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church. Reverend Andrews Kollannoor will officiate. Burial will follow in Farquhar Cemetery in Sulphur. Visitation will be held from 3 - 10 p.m. on Friday with a Cursillo Rosary at 7 p.m. and will resume at 8 a.m. on Saturday at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial.
