June was a longtime resident of Sulphur and a graduate of Sulphur High School. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Sulphur, where she shared her musical and artistic gifts with her church family. She sang in the church choir as well as the Agin Cajuns Senior Adult Choir. She also sang with the Messiah Chorus for many years. June was a talented artist. She painted many posters, back drops and even lettered the church vans for First Baptist. June began her career working for T&P Iron Works, a family owned business, and continued her career as a bookkeeper at Howell Industries.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles Hines, grandson Travis Hines, and great granddaughter Ella Grace Carter.
She is survived by sons and daughter-in-laws, Chic and Sandra Hines, of Haynesville, Louisiana, Kim and Jill Hines, of Sulphur, and Rex and Rosanne Hines of Culpeper, Virginia; grandchildren Aimee Hines Carter and husband Rob, of Alabaster, Alabama, Morgan Hines and wife KK of Sulphur, and Jessica Hines of Loves Park, Illinois; Great grandchildren Ethan and Elise Carter, of Alabaster, Alabama, and Travis, Brody and Jack Hines of Sulphur; and two sisters, Tommie Lou Snow, of Westlake, and Lottie Mae Moak of California.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday, February 11, at the First Baptist Church of Sulphur at 11 a.m. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service, at the church
