Raymond was a native of Lafayette, LA and later resided in Sulphur, LA. He worked as a Master Cabinet Maker for many years and also was an artist who enjoyed painting and wood carvings. Raymond loved fishing, working in his yard, and playing cards at the American Legion.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Stephanie Lynn Guidry of Beaumont, TX; his sister, Glenda Doucet (Junior) of Palestine, TX; and a host of nieces and extended family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Javie Guidry & Lula Mae Trahan Stevens; his two sisters, Geneva Provost and Janie Santiny.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 11:30 a.m. at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. His funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Pastor Jay Lawson will officiate the services. Burial will follow in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss, LA under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home.
