October 02, 1963-February 16, 2016
Having allowed his family & friends the opportunity to share in his life, for over fifty-two (52) years, God, in his infinite wisdom, chose to bring Glenn to his ‘Eternal Heavenly Home’, after a very short but irreversible illness.
Hixson’s, in Sulphur, will handle the arrangements.
Although we, as ‘Christians’ see his parting as his ‘New Beginning of Eternal Life’, he will none the less be ‘Sorely Missed’.
He was educated, for the most part, in the Maplewood school district, graduating at Sulphur High in 1981. He spent his life as a Sulphur resident, holding various positions, for local businesses.
Glenn never met a stranger, as ‘New Acquaintances’ immediately became ‘Friends’, friends he never lost.
He followed all local sports but his ‘First Love’ was the ’LSU Tigers’. If there was ‘Event’ he was either there or was providing his home, to all comers, as a Gathering Hole’ for the event.
Being one of the four (4) original organizers of the ‘Annual Bundick Lake Invitational Fishing Tournament’, (Hawg Hunt) was his pride and joy. This spring would have been year #33 in a row.
Glenn’s passing was preceded by his grandparents, on both sides of the family. (Emily Vezina Hebert [MawMaw] & Isaac [PawPaw] Hebert as well as Gloria June Vandyke [Mammy] Dixon & John Patrick [Poppy] Dixon)
He is survived by his parents, Char Dixon Hebert & Robert Lee Hebert; a sister Stacy Renee` Hebert, her fiancé` Dean Peloquin & a niece Kennedy Ray Hebert, whom he treated, from birth, as his own daughter.
And then there’s, the rest of us, numerous aunts & uncles, cousins & friends, GALORE. To many, in all, to name.
Words of comfort may be shared, with the family, at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com
