He was a native and lifelong resident of Vinton. Gary first and foremost loved God with all of his heart and loved helping people as much as he could. He was a member of Victory Worship Center in Sulphur. He enjoyed traveling, wood working, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Connie Gremillion of Vinton; his father, Oris Gremillion of Vinton; his children, Ashley Courvelle and husband, Michael of Vinton, Megan Gremillion of Roselle, New Jersey, and Jacob Gremillion and wife, Amber of Katy, Texas; his brother, Ronald Gremillion and wife, Songa of Pass Christian, Mississippi; and his five grandchildren, Kace Courvelle, Carter Courvelle, Kaetyn Courvelle, Emma Gremillion, and Zoey Gremillion. He is preceded in death by his mother, Emma Jean Gremillion.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 9, at Victory Worship Center. Pastor Larry LaFleur will officiate. Gary’s final wish was to have his body donated to science in hopes of finding early detection of Pancreatic Cancer and possibly save someone’s life.
