She was a native of Dry Creek and had been a resident of Sulphur since 1953. Eva was a member of Henning Memorial United Methodist Church. She retired from the Troop D State Police after 25 years of service as a secretary.
Survivors include her children, John Hanson of Pueblo, Colorado and Barbara Wilkins of Corning, California; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Hanson.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday, March 15, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. The Rev. Doug Cain will officiate. Burial will be in Prien Memorial Park Cemetery in Lake Charles. Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Thursday and from noon until the time of service Friday in the funeral home.
