Donald Thibodeaux

Donald L. Thibodeaux was born in Lake Charles on December 24, 1948 and passed away November 1, 2023 at the age of 74. At 18, Donald joined the U.S. Navy and proudly served his country completing two tours of duty in the Vietnam War and was stationed all over the globe. After traveling the world, he came home and found the love of his life when he married Vickie Coleman in 1971. Donald enjoyed hunting, fishing and Harley Davidsons. Most of all, he loved his family and friends and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Vickie Thibodeaux (Coleman); children, Troy Thibodeaux (Tonya) and Chad Thibodeaux (Becky); grandchildren, Chance Thibodeaux (Kaylee), Dylan Thibodeaux (Kyla), Kayleigh Thibodeaux, Chaise Black (Chris), Brandon Carter (Bethany), and Josie Carter (Tye); twelve great-grandchildren; brother, Ronald Thibodeaux; sister, Debbie McDaniel (Tommy); along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Mable (LaVergne) Thibodeaux.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 pm Monday, November 6, 2023 at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 10 am until time of service, with a rosary to be held at 11 am.

Deacon Patrick Lapoint will officiate. Burial will follow at Mimosa Pines Cemetery on Highway 27 South in Carlyss, Louisiana.
