Cynthia Marie Schroeder, 69, of Sulphur, Louisiana passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2024. She was born to her late parents, Willard and Margie Rodrigue on February 12, 1955 in Houma, Louisiana. She enjoyed family, gardening, cooking, and was a worship leader at Celebration Worship Center (formerly Southside Assembly of God) for about 20 years. She loved her Lord and Savior, and enjoyed serving in her church. Cynthia was a devoted wife, loving mother, and brought joy and love to all who knew and met her.
She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Joel Schroeder; children, Amy Smothers of Lake Charles, Andrea Horne (James) of Kilgore, Texas, Aaron Schroeder (Lisa) of Crestview, Florida, and Andrew Schroeder of Sulphur; grandchildren, Alex Smothers, Angelica Arroyo, Aolani Arroyo, Charli Smothers, Cianna Smothers, Cadance Smothers, Jolie Schroeder, Case Smothers, and Jael Schroeder; brothers, Eli Rodrigue, Willie Rodrigue, Allen Rodrigue, Mark Rodrigue, David Rodrigue, Willard Rodrigue Jr., and Ronnie Rodrigue; sisters, Margaret Adams, Elizabeth Wooten, Margie Rowland, Angela Freeman, Melissa Cantrelle, Laura Pinkston, Glenda Boyer, and Alethea Doud.
Cynthia is preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Virgie Poole.
A Celebration of Cynthia's life will be held at Celebration Worship Center in Sulphur on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 1:00 pm, with Rev. David Moseley officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday, from 11:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens in Lake Charles.
