Betty Jane Whetnall

She was a native of Mermentau, LA but lived most of her life in Sulphur. Betty loved sewing and was a seamstress for the Sulphur High School Band and Toreadoras.

Survivors include her children, David Whetnall, Roger Whetnall (Judy) of Carlyss, Elana Myers of Diamondhead, MS, and Jessica Dilmore of Cottondale, FL; grandchildren, Jason Whetnall, Malary Whetnall, Morgan Dilmore, and Daniel Dilmore; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers, Ray Lavergne and Ralay Lavergne; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dale C. Whetnall; her brother, Darius Lavergne and her sister Ethel Moody.

Interment will be at 2:45 p.m. Saturday, December 19, 2020 in Highland Memory Gardens under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Rev. Mitchell Rausch will officiate. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com
