She was a native and lifelong resident of Sulphur where she had owned her own business for over 60 years. Betty was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church of Sulphur where she served as a Sunday School Teacher for 30 years and also volunteered as the church's bookkeeper for many years. She enjoyed cooking, singing, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her son, Randy Crouch and wife, DeWanna of Orange, Texas; her three grandchildren, Lauren Harmon and husband, Philip of Phoeniz, Arizona, Jared Crouch and wife, Tiffany of Austin, Texas, and Ryan Crouch of Orange, Texas; brothers-in-law, Frank Crouch of Sulphur and Kenneth Crouch of Sugarland, Texas; and nephew, Scott Bailey. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Crouch, Jr; daughter, Cheryl Ezell; and brothers, Roy Bailey and Reed Bailey.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 30, in First Baptist Church of Sulphur. Dr. David Holder will officiate. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home and from 1 p.m. until the time of service Tuesday in the church.
