Ralph was a native of Glade Springs, VA and has lived in Sulphur for the last 42 years. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He attended the First Christian Church of Sulphur. He was a veteran of the WWII era, serving in the U.S. Air Force. Ralph retired from Olin Chemical after 32 years of service as a maintenance superintendent. Ralph was an avid ham radio operator for many years. His passion for fishing, hunting, and his grandsons was well known. He will be fondly remembered as “Boss Man”.
Survivors include Bill Moore and wife Judy, Betsy Moore Robertson and husband Randy, all of Sulphur; grandson, Travis Robertson of Charlottesville, VA, Trent Robertson and wife Hillary of Sulphur, and Cody Moore currently of Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras; great-grandchildren, Rhett and Holland Kate Robertson of Sulphur; and sister, Betty Walker of Seven Mile Ford, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Jackie “Sue” Moore; his parents, Elihu and Norsey Moore; brother, Hayes Moore, and sisters, Addie Gentry and Myrtle Fore.
Mr. Moore has donated his body to medical research.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 4 PM on Friday, September 11, 2015 in the First Christian Church of Sulphur.
