Anna Avo Goodner

Avo was a dedicated and active member of Broadmoore Baptist Church in Shreveport for most of her life. She was very involved with the Senior Adult Choir. Avo enjoyed sewing and quilting in her free time. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be loved and remembered forever.

Those left behind to cherish her memories are a daughter, Patricia Ann LeDoux and husband, Roger; a granddaughter, Kimberly LeDoux; grandson, Kevin LeDoux and wife, Theresa; grandsons, Keith LeDoux and wife, Amanda, and Marty Goodner and wife, Ashley; a sister, Frances Holt and husband, Don; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Mack Goodner, husband, Carter Goodner, parents, John and Mattie Smith, and nine siblings.

Visitation will be held from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, April 30, 2017 at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, May 1, 2017 in Forest Park West Cemetery in Shreveport where she will be laid to rest by her husband and son.
