Angela Renee McArthur

Angela, a lifelong Sulphur resident, enjoyed life and people; she never met a stranger. She was compassionate, loving, inspirational, and loved to talk about God. Angela’s world was her sons and family.

Survivors include her mother, Lena McArthur of Carlyss; father, Cecil McArthur, Jr. of Ragley; love of her life, Emanuel Shelton; sons, Austin Moran of DeQuincy and Emanuel Nevaeh Shelton of Sulphur; sister, Cheri McArthur Pradia (John) of Lake Charles; godchildren, Kayden McArthur, Jaydence Tower, and Chazin Cash Pradia; aunts, Donna Hale (Philip), Deanna Domaingue (Robert), Darla Domingue (Todd) all of Carlyss, and Lorie Moran (Danny) of DeQuincy; and numerous cousins that loved her free spirit.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Clopha Darbonne, Jr and Rachel Gintz Darbonne; uncle Ervin Ray Darbonne “Bubba”; paternal grandparents, Clytee and Arnold Drake, and Cecil “Mac” McArthur, Sr.

A celebration of Angela’s life will be held at 11 am Thursday, July 23rd in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Big Woods Cemetery.
