Lisa Pei Banigan passed away at the age of 69 on Sunday, March 1st, 2020 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Sugar Land, Texas with beloved family members by her bedside.
Although a document mistake recorded November 22nd as her birthday, Lisa was actually born on November 12th, 1950 in Taiwan as the second eldest of four children. She was a naturally gifted pupil and excelled in her studies at school. For her undergraduate degree she attended Providence University in Taiwan. In a continued pursuit of her education, she moved to Utah where she received her master’s degree from Brigham Young University. Shortly after, Lisa relocated to Boston, Massachusetts for a work opportunity. It was in Boston at her new job that she met her husband and lifelong love, Lucas Banigan.
In 1982 Lisa and her husband made the fateful decision to move to Houston, Texas where many relatives soon followed. They welcomed their daughter soon after. They raised their family alongside an abundance of close relatives including several nieces and nephews who grew up alike siblings.
Lisa’s social nature and love of people led her into the real estate business for the majority of her career where she had the honor of helping individuals through major milestones in their lives. She was known by family and friends for her bold personality and equally generous heart. Many of her friendships have sustained decades of time and produced countless treasured memories. With her deep affection for animals and her compassionate nature, she lovingly adopted 4 dogs and 1 cat into her life without hesitation. Her family is forever grateful for the incredible years of joy and laughter they shared together. The magic of her life will endure for generations to come through her grandchildren and family.
Lisa is survived by her loving husband, daughter, her grandsons, her sister, her brother, and numerous nephews, nieces, grand nephews and nieces, and extended family.
***A Memorial Service is scheduled on Saturday, March 14th, 2020 from 2-3pm at The Settegast-Kopf Company @ Sugar Creek. Reception will commence immediately following the service from 3-5pm.
