HELEN JOYCE LAUER REYNAUD, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, March 22, 2012. Helen was born on September 22, 1921, in Houston, where she lived all of her life. She attended Wilson Elementary, Lanier Middle School, San Jacinto High School, and the University of Houston.
Helen was preceded in death by her devoted husband of sixty-five years, Charles Reynaud; parents, Walter and Marie Lauer; and sister, Edith Moore.
She is survived by her beloved son, Donald Reynaud and his wife Carole; her adoring grandchildren, Gregory Reynaud, Michelle Balch and her husband Rodd, and Suzette Davenport and her husband Ryan; her precious great-grandchildren, Caroline Balch, and Spencer and Jack Davenport; nephew, Stephen Lee Shaw and his wife Sherry; and sister-in-law, Jeanne Reynaud.
Helen was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and looked forward to the fulfillment of the Bible’s promise of a “new heavens and a new earth” (2 Peter 3:13), when God’s kingdom will rule over the earth, sickness and death will be no more and she would see her dead loved ones again. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 31, 2012, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 4801 Palmetto, Bellaire, TX. Interment will be private.
