My condolences to Susan’s family. We have cherished memories of the time Betty Lou and I lived in Hillburn while I pastored the Ramapo Presbyterian Church and Grover was the organist. We miss all our friends from our Hillburn days but especially Susan whose quiet peacefulness was a solid affirmation of the joys she obviously enjoyed in her walk with Jesus. Blessings, Myron Miller

Susan’ and I, Deborah we recently took a walk and we laughed and Susan seemed to smile the whole walk. She was so energized her loss takes me by surprise and sadness. May we walk again in the future friend. 

Susan left everlasting positive impressions whatever she touched. People spoke during her memorial service about her encouraging kind notes she sent in different forms after an event or an accomplishment.  I have personally been the fortunate recipient of some of these kind notes and I will cherish them forever!  I will also remember her as an impactful teacher, a pioneering Interact advisor, and a great supporter of Rotary.  She and Grover clearly left a beautiful legacy in their children and grandchildren. She is terribly missed.  May she rest in God's care.

Dearest Susan, you were like a small pearl tossed in water whose ripples went far beyond your physical stature. Thank you for your grace, generosity, strength and  wisdom.  

Susan and I met as freshmen roommates at the University of Delaware,  and stayed together  all 4 years. I watched the romance blossom between Susan and Grover.  We were bridesmaids at each others weddings.  Though we haven't seen each other for many years.  We did "find" each other again, and had the opportunity to visit twice in the last few years - a special time to share many memories.   
One funny story I remember from college is  her commenting when she heard people say "exact same",  that something is either the same or it isn't!  I still hear her words when anybody says "exact same" today.
I know she is now with Grover in the arms of our Lord...

We met Susan  in the early 1970’s as our neighbor and friend. She was a beautiful soul inside and out.  We carry with us always in our hearts the fond memories of our times spent with her and our families together.  May she Rest In Peace.  God had an angel.

Susan and I met while walking at the town park about two years ago. We became friends during our daily walks and shared many a great conversation about family, her teaching life , religion or just general chit chat about life. She always made my walks so much more fun and time flew by as we circled the park. Boy could Susan walk! I usually quit after 2 miles but she kept going! 
What an inspiration!  
Our walking friends always looked forward to seeing Susan, she had real moral standards which she communicated through her words and actions- you became a better person simply by being in her presence.
 Such a lovely and gentle woman.
I am sure she is with God, her dear husband that she still missed and her recently departed dog jack.
We will miss her and remember her. 


We will never forget this quiet and dignified servant of Jesus who, with Grover, formed a powerful witness to the transforming love of Christ that, in turn, infected all those who knew her. 

Sue was a dedicated professional loved and respected by students and staff. She was kind and gentle and always willing to listen and help in any way she could. May God bless her family at this difficult time.

Mrs. Foster as I came to know her, got me through high school. She’s always meant so much to me. She helped me through a very difficult time in my life. I will never forget her soft manner and her beautiful smile. 

I was truly blessed to have meet Susan , we enjoyed many walks around the Sloatsburg  Ball field. She would walk 11x around to make sure she had gotten her 3 miles in and if you stopped while walking with her she would continue on her way so she could achieve her daily goal. We will truly miss her sweet calm personality that was always uplifting. From our many conversations, I could tell that her love of her family and her dog Jack were he greatest joy. Susan was a very sweet and caring person ever since I met her being in her wedding to my first cousin Grover Foster  in the 1960’s.
