Wellington, Raymond Reeves of Spring Valley, NY. Died March 8, 2014 at age 77. Born June 1, 1936 in Kingston, Jamaica to Albert and Cordelia (Forest) Wellington. Raymond is known for his quote, “Keep Hope Alive”. He also was excited knowing he was going to be a great grandfather for the ninth time. Survived by his beloved wife Patricia (nee Redwood) Wellington, loving children Marcia Fray (husband Michael), Sandra Wellington, Ortiz Wellington, Mervinie Wellington-Johnson, Patrick Lewis, Andrew Wellington, Raymond Wellington, Jr. (wife Darlene), Lodeen Wellington and Jasmine Wellington, 22 loving grandchildren Kalicha, Michael, Jr., Joseph, Natasha, Keisha, Philip, Salim, Derek, Ortiz, Jr., Aaliyah, Deja, Andrew, Jr., Jaqui, Tarik, Unique, Latrelle, Isiah, Noah, Cierra, Serenity, Jalen and Samiyah, 8 cherished great grandchildren Kedon, Orion, Visonya, Jasira, Joseph, Jr., Keeshawna, Desirayn, Derrick, a caring brother George Wellington, a daughter in law Stephanie Wellington and two aunts Greta Swaby and Belthy Murphy. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, a host of cousins and many friends. Predeceased by a daughter Paulette Bogle and a sister Corineitha Berbick. Visitation Friday March 21, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home 177 Route 59 in Suffern. Funeral Mass Saturday 10am March 22, 2014 at St. Joseph’s Church in Spring Valley followed by an Interment at Brick Church Cemetery in New Hempstead, NY.
