Norman Francis Ray of Wesley Hills, New York died January 22, 2019 at the age of 90. Born November 27, 1928 in Teaneck, New Jersey to Catherine and Thomas Ray. Norman served honorably in the United States Army, where awarded the World War II Victory Medal for his service in Korea. Norman was the proud owner of Ray Haulage for over 30 years and the founder of Jimmy Ray’s Restaurant in the theatre district in New York City. He is predeceased by loving wife of 57 years Ann and brother Thomas. He is survived by his brother James and children, Bryan, Anne, Catherine, Joan, Richard, Christopher, Robert and ten cherished grandchildren, Kevin, Alexandra, Jack, Emma, Owen, Amelia, Liam, Josephine, Wyatt, and Ava.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 27, 2019 from 1-4PM at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home, 177 Route 59, Suffern, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 on Monday, January 28, 2019 at St. Boniface Church, New Hempstead, NY with burial to follow at Ascension Cemetery, Airmont, NY.
