He was born in The Bronx in the State of New York on May 1, 1944 to Joseph and Ann Regan (Towey) He attended Sacred Heart School and is preceded in death by his loving wife Evelyn Doris (Devine) Regan of 50 years. It was a life-long romance that began at the age of 5 when she dared him to kiss her. They were married on June 30, 1965 and the couple moved to the town of Sloatsburg in upstate New York to raise a family, where they attended St. Joan of Arc Church for many years. Joseph loved his family tremendously.
In his younger years, Joseph attained his black belt in the art of Tai Kwon Do karate, and in the summer months, swam regularly at the town pool. Joe and Eve, as they are fondly remembered, were avid dancers at all town celebrations and dances.
In his twilight years, he loved spending time with his family, listening to good music, and watching old movies. He loved his desserts, enjoying his donuts, chips, and eclairs till the very end. Joseph’s generosity knew no bounds and was known to donate to numerous charities in the latter part of his life.
