Ginny was born at Emerson Hospital on May 30, 1928, a daughter to the late George and Alpha (Ruble) Manter of Concord, MA. She graduated from Concord High School in 1946.
Ginny had a great affinity for travel and adventure throughout her life, beginning as a young woman traveling across the country by Greyhound bus to work at several resorts including at the El Tovar Hotel in the Grand Canyon and Saranac Inn, New York. Later adventures included travels throughout Europe, China, Russia, and Egypt. Ginny also loved camping with family and friends and often summered in Wells and Wilton Maine.
Later in life, Ginny was an avid volunteer in her community and greatly enjoyed her many friends at The Overlook in Charlton, MA. She will be remembered for her consistently optimistic outlook on life, her impeccable sense of humor, and her deep love of family.
She is predeceased by her loving husband, Walter Hardy, her sister Arline Leigh and her brother Alvin Manter.
Ginny is survived by her four children, daughter Deirdre (Dede) Bass and husband Charles, daughter Margot Driscoll, son Paul Hanlon and wife Cynthia, daughter Karen Hanlon as well as her beloved grandchildren Austin and Jonathan Bass, Lexi Cormier, Caroline Drouin, Will and Ryan Driscoll, Caitlyn Correia and Michael Hanlon, Garrett and Victoria Grove and three great-grandchildren.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
