She was born August 20, 1938, in Worcester, daughter of Louis J. and Cecelia R. (Casey) Miller. Ms. Miller was raised and educated in Worcester and was previously employed by Wachusett Lumber and Building Supply in Rutland. Rita enjoyed crocheting, reading, and playing cards with friends. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughters, Colleen McEwan and her husband Robert of Gardner, Debra Gallant and her husband Ronald of TX; seven grandchildren, Julie Doty, Daniel Bertholdt, Laura, Susan, and Kassandra McEwan, Ronald Gallant, Jr., and Janelle Wellman; also twelve great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Ms. Miller was predeceased by her son, Robert Bertholdt; by her brother, James Miller; by her nephew, Michael Miller, and by her niece, Patricia Grala.
Funeral services will be held privately.
