Jennie Jin Yue, age 62, passed away at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center in Burlington on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loved ones.
Jennie was born in Shanghai, China to Meilong Yue and Wenjuan Yan on October 4, 1961. After graduating in 1982, she worked as a midwife at Shanghai Luwan District Hospital. In 1992, she made the brave journey to the United States with her husband, Jeffrey Qin. Together, they lived in several areas, including North Carolina, Texas, New Jersey, New Hampshire, and finally, Massachusetts.
Throughout her life in America, she worked as an accountant, tax preparer, and medical billing administrator. Her greatest career achievement was her work as a Chinese secondary language teacher and tutor for young children. She was a beloved teacher at Acton Chinese Language School, Housman Institute, and as a private tutor. However, she considered her biggest pride and source of fulfillment in life to be her two children, whom she raised with immense love and strength. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and homemaker who brought so much color into everyone’s life at home.
Outside of work, Jennie loved singing; she had a lot of passion for art and music in general. At home, she tended to her beloved plants and flowers, and took great pleasure in cooking and baking delicious recipes for her family. She was a collector of stamps, coins, souvenirs, and other little trinkets. Jennie also found a lot of enjoyment in traveling and exploring new locations around the world.
Jennie filled every room with laughter and warmth. She had an incredible talent for connecting with others in every area of her life. She was a kind, passionate, selfless, and loving person, who touched the lives of many people.
She is survived by her husband, Jeffrey; a son, Eric; a daughter, Tiffany; and her sister, Fu Yue.
A Visitation will be held in the Duckett - J.S. Waterman & Sons Home of Memorial Tribute, 656 Boston Post Road (Rt. 20) Sudbury, on Saturday, June 8, 2024 from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Interment will follow the Visitation at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, 329 Concord Road, Sudbury.
