Christopher David O’Halloran died peacefully in his sleep on August 22, 2018, after bravely fighting cancer for the fourth time at age 42. Born in Bellmore, NY, he was the loving son of Lorraine and David O’Halloran.
Chris was a proud graduate of the Pembroke Hill School in Kansas City, MO, Class of 1994. He attended the University of Oregon, where he received a bachelor’s degree in journalism, and the VCU Brandcenter in Richmond, VA, where he received a master’s degree in advertising.
Chris was a passionate, generous, optimistic, creative person with a witty sense of humor. He met his beloved wife Kara while attending the University of Oregon; they celebrated their 15th anniversary in July. His many interests included hockey, rock climbing, skiing, kayaking, hiking, golf, fishing, and woodworking. He also loved photography, the outdoors, traveling, cooking, music, and craft beer.
Chris worked in graphic design and advertising throughout his career and was employed as a Multimedia Designer at Simpson Gumpertz and Heger in Waltham, MA.
He is survived by his wife, his parents, sister Erin Weaver and her husband Chris Weaver and nephew Dylan, and Ruby and Penny.
