Devoted husband and father, Brad is survived by his wife Susan (Lewis) Canavan; two teenage children, William and Lydia; his parents, Robert and Lorraine Canavan of Chatham, Massachusetts, older brothers Robert, David (and wife Beverly) and Scott Canavan; mother-in-law Peggy Lewis of Searcy, Arkansas, brother-in-law James Lewis, Jr. (and wife Dani), and extended family.
Brad grew up in Wayland, Massachusetts and graduated from Wayland High School in 1986. In 1990 he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Boston College and worked as a VP and sales executive in the internet security space for the next three decades. He and wife Susan planted roots in Sudbury, where Brad was an active member of the community serving as a youth basketball and baseball coach. Known (and beloved) for his gregarious personality and easy smile, Brad is also survived by countless friends and loved ones.
Visitation will be held on November 21 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Duckett Funeral Home of J. S. Waterman & Sons, 656 Boston Post Road, Sudbury. Funeral Mass will be held at Ascension Parish, 160 Concord Road, Sudbury on Tuesday, November 22 at 10:00 am, with a private interment to follow.
Guests are invited to attend a reception following the mass at Sandy Burr Country Club, 103 Cochituate Road, Wayland. Food and drinks will be served. All are welcome.
